We purchased a replacement bathtub for a bathroom remodeling job from McRey's Distributor's in Spartnburg, SC, the product was made by AquaGlass.
It is an acrylic, three piece unit, model # 676038B-R or L, priced at almost $900.00. When it arrived, we found it was defective, crumbling all around the edges of the pieces when we took it apart to install it. They replaced the unit with another one, which was also defective.
We have now waited for 6 weeks, have received 4 tub units and each one is defective. Don't buy from this company!! Work is shoddy!! 1299b19

| 2. Written by Remodelers on August 3, 2011 from easton, maryland, US We purchased an Aqua Glass tub and surround from Lowes for a bathroom remodel. We installed the unit as directed. Within weeks, the tub started splitting in various areas of the tub. We literally had to tape the cracks in the tub so the water would not leak out of it. We did contact the manufacturer who did replace the tub and surround. Now we must remove and reinstall the tub as well as repair anything that is ruined by removing the defective unit. Lesson learned! |
